Matrix Refractories Division,
Allied Mineral Products, Inc. announces the release of its
new QUICK CAST® product line. The
QUICK CAST®brand is a complete family of low-moisture castable refractory products with a
unique formulation. The product is designed
with
characteristics that allow a wide range of installation methods, accomplished by varying
water content within a specified range.These
refractory castables are unique because any one of the individual products can be
installed by pump casting, shotcreting, pouring, or vibrating methods. Desired density,
porosity, expansion, and strength properties are not compromised as may be the case with
other conventional and low-moisture castables.
QUICK CAST®
products are the only products of their kind available on the market today.Alumina content ranges from 50% to 80% and the
products are suitable for all molten aluminum applications in reverb furnaces, die cast
holding furnaces, launders, ladles, demag boxes, filtration units, and more. Originally,
these products were designed specifically for the aluminum industry but a complete product
line is also available for ferrous applications as well.
This refractory product is
intended for new refractory installations, but will work well in partial repair cast
application as well.Matrix Refractories Division is
currently developing a line of maintenance products to complement the QUICK CAST®
family.
